– Where to start –
Job hunting can be really difficult when you don’t know where to start! For detailed information about applying for an au pair position, have a look at this article: Au Pairing – How to Start your Journey.
Below is a quick list of websites to help you to begin your search. Rather than recommend one particular agency, I have noted down websites that I know of to help you find the right match. It is always important, however, to be wary of scams!
If you are looking for a position with accommodation (living with the family or in a small independent studio/room), with food and other perks provided as part of your pay, then the first list is for you! (Please note: these au pair roles may involve mandatory French lessons.) See more about Au pair hours and pay.
If however, you prefer to live completely independently from the family, then a ‘paid by the hour’ nanny job is best. A lot of these are aimed at native English speakers, but some in the list below cater for speakers of other languages. Finally, finding accommodation in Paris can be extremely difficult, but one or two on the list below (such as Nannynou) may be able to help with this.
